The National Board of Directors of the United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association and the National Council Officers assembled at the Twenty-second Annual National Convention in the City of Williamsburg, Virginia on the 21st of August 1991, and authorized the establishment of the Coast Guard Enlisted Association
The purpose and goals of the Coast Guard Enlisted Association shall be similar in all respects to the CPOA. They shall endeavor to coordinate as a Branch and become involved in projects mutually beneficial to the CPOA and the CGEA.

Always Remember:
Ø As enlisted members, we must uphold the highest standards and respect the traditions of the United States Coast Guard,
Ø Our past mentors, leaders and the foundation they left for us to follow,
Ø To hold ourselves and others accountable to the duties and responsibilities of our country, service, and communities,
Ø To give encouragement to the future members & leaders of the Coast Guard,
Ø To personally support and stand-by our fellow enlisted members, and their families in their endeavors of joy and hardships,
Ø To be forever appreciative for the support and guidance of the USCG Chief Petty Officers Association.
