CCCAF Fund Raising / Perpetual Plaque
The Captain Caliendo College Assistance Fund (CCCAF) program was proposed at the National Conference of the CPOA in Oct 1971 and adopted at the National Conference of 15 Feb 1973. It was established to provide college scholarships to dependents of Association members.
Fund Raising/Recognition: Chapters and Branches are encouraged to hold one fund raising event before 1 June of each year to generate funds for the CCCAF. Chapter or Branches choosing not to hold fundraising events are encouraged to make a donation to the CCCAF. These funds are to be obtained from voluntary contributions of members, Chapters, Branches, and other interested parties. All funds raised shall be forwarded to the National Office as designated for CCCAF. Chapters, members, or other groups who donate $500 or more to the CCCAF calendar year, will be recognized on the CCCAF Perpetual Plaque. Prior to 01 January 2027, the perpetual plaque was maintained on display at the National Office. Due to cost increases, and lack of visibility at the National Office, this plaque now resides online for all to view.
