Junius C. Clemmons was born in Bolivia, NC, a son of Alfred Wright Clemmons and Virginia Odell Coleman Clemmons. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
A 26-year United States Coast Guard veteran, Junius served his country with honor during both World War II and the Korean War. During his service, he was stationed at bases in the U.S. mainland, as well as Hawaii. He retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer telephone technician. Upon retirement, he started his own business as a handyman/carpenter/gardener. He loved to garden and shared an artistic passion for creating ceramics with his wife Louise and together they operated their own studio, complete with kiln.

He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was much loved by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Emma Louise Singletary Clemmons. Junius and Louise formerly made their home in Belleview, FL, but more recently resided in residence in East Stroudsburg, PA. He is also survived by his son Junius (Steve) Clemmons, also of East Stroudsburg, PA; two granddaughters, Sabrina Aitchison of Miami, FL, and Stephanie Manella of Pompton Lakes, NJ; two great-grandchildren, Brian T. Clemmons and Eva M. Manella; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including a very special friend, Erma Bishop of Belleview, FL.

Junius held the title of Right Worship with the Belleview Masonic Lodge, where he served as chaplain for 19 years, as well as a District Instructor and Worshipful Master. He received his 55-year pin in 2013. Additionally, he was a Past Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Amaranth. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weirsdale, Weirsdale, FL, and prior to that he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Summerfield, Summerfield FL, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.
